The law on the reintegration of Donbass does not exclude “armed liberation” of the occupied territories.
About it in interview to “Public TV” said the Secretary of national security Council and defense Oleksandr Turchynov.
So, he emphasized that the law gives the possibility to use the full potential of the Armed forces and other security institutions to “restore the country’s sovereignty in the occupied territory.”
“We are not saying that today can liberate the occupied territory exclusively by force. But this law does not exclude such a path and creates the preconditions for this. So it was not necessary to adopt additional legislation that would provide legal framework for the use of force while countering the aggressor,” said Secretary of the NSDC.
Turchynov also acknowledged that in early 2014 the Ukrainian army had sufficient forces to repel the aggression of the Russian Federation.
